Job Description
    The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for strategic analysis of a select portfolio of accounts by evaluating core components to identify savings and revenue opportunities. This position will be dedicated to the Client Consulting team and report to the V.P. of Finance. Additional responsibilities will include identifying profitability opportunities of the account management portfolio while maintaining focus on key initiatives.
    College degree in finance Proven skills which have been demonstrated for a preferable minimum of two (2) years in the related field Expert proficiency with Excel, SAP and accounting software Strong analytical skills Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task Detail-oriented Proven ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Proven oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences Possess strong negotiation skills to assist in obtaining best possible contractual terms Ability to analyze and evaluate data in order to identify opportunities to reduce costs and to recommend appropriate solutions Working knowledge of financial and business models Clear understanding of the various fee structures available as options (transaction fees, management fees, hybrids) preferred Ability to consult in an advisory role, to provide direction, execute and measure results Problem solving skills encompassing the ability to listen, identify the root problem, present appropriate alternative solutions and determine the best solution using a systematic approach Expert analytical skills for interpretation of data, trends and opportunities
Experience & Knowledge
    Reports to V.P of Finance Collaborates with Client Consulting Director in assessing opportunities Interacts with client account managers, executives and other key managers Works with reporting team to develop analytical reporting Works with Accounting and Finance in ensuring the accuracy of client data Monitors the individual client profitability and impact to the company Works with development team to identify and develop custom programming Primary Responsibilities & Standards: Strategic Business Planning – Develop, implement and manage a strategic business plan which includes: Support client consulting to assist in monitoring client financial goals Manages the monitoring of client contract requirements Reviews and analyzes client data and presents strategic recommendations on an ongoing basis Prepares quarterly, semi-annual, and annual business review reporting Profitability and Financial Management – Maintains in-depth understanding of client’s and company’s supplier contracts; monitors contractual commitments for both clients and company Uses analytics to provide consultation to account managers and business management Analyzes client contracts with management to identify opportunities and monitor revenue by account Growth – Identifies opportunities for fee structure and product pricing strategies Identifies opportunities with global account management pricing Identifies opportunities with new and existing contractual pricing
